The meeting of the participants of the project “Oral health education program for visually impaired children”, is aimed at preparing, in cooperation with the Partners from Slovakia and Hungary, an educational program concerning oral hygiene of blind and visually impaired children.

The workshops will be attended by dentists who will deal with the substantive side of preparation of the educational program on correct oral hygiene, as well as experts in the field of typhlopedagogy who, thanks to their experience, will help to develop attractive educational materials for blind children.

November 15, 2021

Presentation by experts of the specifics of working with a group of visually impaired and blind people.

Exchange of experience in the project topic.

Work in groups to develop assignments:

A leaflet for children in Braille (4 pages)

A leaflet for parents/guardians and teachers

An instructional video for parents/guardians and teachers (5 min)

A radio play for children on proper oral hygiene (5 min)

Developing a scenario for an educational campaign

Discussing the form of educational materials attractive to children with visual impairments.

A summary of the work performed – presentation of:

The design of the leaflet written in Braille for children,

The design of the leaflet for parents/guardians of children with visual impairment,

A script of the instructional video for parents/guardians and teachers on the methodology of teaching proper oral hygiene,

A script of the radio play for children on proper oral hygiene

A script of the educational campaign that will be carried out simultaneously in Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.
