Dr. Szőke from the Foundation "For the healthy teeth of our children" and Dr. Radácsi with colleagues from University Pécs have visited the School for the Visually impaired in Budapest. As part of our program under the umbrella of Visegrad Fund, a series of educational scheme were presented. Main topics were discussed as follows: anatomy of teeth and bite, oral hygiene, tooth friendly diet and the importance of visiting the dentist regularly.  For the classes illustrative materials (i. e.: 3D tooth models) made by Visegrad Fund were used for better understanding. The children received a set of toothbrush, toothpaste, and brushing cup alongside with educational brochures written in Braille. Parents and teachers were also invited to participate in a talk about how to support visually impaired children to achieve better oral health. The work between and the head of school and the dental experts has started well, and a long term mutually positive cooperation is on its way.
